Amanda Ryan Designs is a single-person custom residential design studio based in Boise, Idaho.
There is no other project type that is more personal than residential design. Most of my clients have never built a home before and are unfamiliar with the process. I am here to guide them/you from start to finish. I work for you to answer your questions and ensure you are fully comfortable with the process from design through construction.
I customize every client experience to the user's needs, as everyone is unique and deserves their home to be tailored to their needs and desires. Through my comprehensive process, I evaluate your needs and desires and create a custom space for each project. I even customize and expand my skills to assist where I can.
From new construction to remodels + additions, I love it all!
I love what I do, I would love to share my passion with you making your dream home a reality.
If you're looking for a personal connection to your designer, who will work with you one-on-one and create a home custom for you and your family, I would love the opportunity to develop that relationship and home for you.
We understand your home is your biggest investment outside your family + your health, we want to ensure you get your home to be everything you want. We will evaluate your wishes - and do our best to find the most economical way to bring your wishes to reality.
This is your home - your style is our goal. Our process will help identify your style and wishes. We believe trends are cool, but we want to find what speaks to you.
Background:
I grew up passionate about residential architecture, believing everyone deserves a home they love. I grew up in Nevada and moved to Idaho where I obtained my master's degree in Architecture from the University of Idaho in 2013. After graduation, I began doing commercial architecture full-time.
2020 showed me that my family needs me more than ever and that our happiness is up to us. I have a young boy with unique needs, and I was unable to give him everything he needed (virtual kindergarten, appointment transport, etc) in addition to my project manager role for another firm.
I stepped down from my full-time role at that architecture firm, to be able to have more flexibility in my schedule for my family and do what I ultimately love: residential design.
I continue to learn and take courses to further my skills to ensure I bring my clients the best service possible. I learned through a project, that to serve them the best I need a course in residential accessibility. In 2022 - I became a Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist through NAHB, and a Universal Design Certified Professional through NARI.
I joined the Boise City/Ada County Housing Authority - where I became their only Certified Commissioner through NAHRO.
